Stan C Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 I believe there is a connection between Deep Discount and Collector's Choice. If Deep Discount keep selling those Mosaic sets they would be taking big loss. Montana Slim Lives. Quote
Jazz Groove Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Does anyone know the website for deepdiscount CD's? Quote
vajerzy Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Darn shame.....and with their promotional code the sets were *real* cheap..... Quote
Guest Chaney Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Who/what is Car 54? A TV series from the past featuring some less than competent cops. Car 54, Where Are You... Quote
Out2Lunch Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 (edited) Thanks for the memories. What a funny show by the creators of the great Sgt Bilko/Phil Silvers Show and featuring a lot of those low comedians that populated the Bilko series including the great Joe E. Ross. The woman who played his wife had to be one of the ugliest women ever to apprear on network television. I dare you to post her picture here. Maybe not, because I'm sure that image might shatter a few monitor screens Edited July 11, 2003 by Out2Lunch Quote
shrugs Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Apparently it was Faulkner's favorite tv show. Quote
dsgtrane Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 (edited) Now I know what Fred Gwynne did before he became Herman Munster. Cool site! Edited July 11, 2003 by dsgtrane Quote
BeBop Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Django est ici. Or, more accurately, Django est la'. The Django I ordered for a friend (gift) arrived. $80.26. Not bad. Quote
dsgtrane Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 I just received an email indicating that they had shipped out the Chico Hamilton. Quote
clandy44 Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 And, 21 days after I placed my order, DD e-mailed me today that my Mildred had shipped. Do I believe it? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Hoping it's true, but a little skeptical. Quote
Ed S Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Holy smokes - I just got an email that the Bix/Trum/Tea set I ordered shipped today. I'm a little shocked that I'm getting it but I'll take it. I personally think the whole thing was a mistake made by Deepdiscount CDs - especially if the above mentioned link with Collectors Choice is true. CC is one of the few places that sells a broad selection of Mosaic sets - meaning over and above those which Mosaic has made available to all retailers. My guess is they did some data base update and some of the CC Music stuff made it over to Deepdiscount. Wish I ordered a few more. Quote
dsgtrane Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Wish I ordered a few more. Me too. I planned on ordering additional sets once I saw how it went with the Hamilton. Oh well. Quote
vajerzy Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Ed- I don't think that it was a mistake with Deepdiscountcd...... I ordered the Hackett from them about a year or so ago and it arrrived fine (sealed/numbered).....they also had the Stitt and a few others.....this info appeared on the BNBB and Mosaic was alerted about this then the Mosaics disappeared. I would check periodically to see if they ever came back....then one day I found the Prima/Manone and the Vaughn so I ordered them- arrived sealed/numbered. Then recently all the Mosaics listed on the first post showed up.......and after this info was posted on this board they disappeared from Deepdiscountcd again........ Bummer.... Quote
Ed S Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 I think I'm going to make deepdiscountcds my homepage Quote
vajerzy Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 I hear ya! They will appear again sometime in the future...... Quote
Ed S Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 (edited) The Bix/Trum/Tea set has arrived - number 1821 of 7500. Edited July 18, 2003 by Ed Swinnich Quote
clandy44 Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Ah, Mildred arrived today after a perilous journey of 28 days. She has told me that there were hardships along the way, but it was worth it because she knows that she will be in a loving household. Interestingly, I peeled off of her face a corner of what looks like a price tag. The box and booklet are pristine and the cds are sealed. Hope we see more of these from DD. Quote
dsgtrane Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Chico Hamilton arrived today. Now I'm really kicking myself for not ordering more sets. Quote
