Chuck Nessa Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 (edited) I might be able to find a "buggy whip" maker here in Michigan. Want the address? Almost like being in jazz indeed! Edited May 28, 2005 by Chuck Nessa Quote
wolff Posted May 28, 2005 Author Report Posted May 28, 2005 Can someone translate the above post for me. Quote
Ted O'Reilly Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Didn't Wynton Marsalis make a cylinder recording at the Edison Museum (?) a few years back? I seem to remember it being dropped onto one of his yearly-dozens of CDs. I didn't understand the purpose of that, either. Quote
kh1958 Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 I'd love to hear that recording. When will it be out on CD? Quote
wolff Posted June 21, 2005 Author Report Posted June 21, 2005 I'd love to hear that recording. When will it be out on CD? ← It's out now as a DualDisc. I doubt it will ever be issued as a plain CD. If anyone knows where I can hear sample clips, LMK. Quote
kh1958 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 I must be out of touch--what's a "DualDisc"? I'd love to hear that recording. When will it be out on CD? ← It's out now as a DualDisc. I doubt it will ever be issued as a plain CD. If anyone knows where I can hear sample clips, LMK. ← Quote
wolff Posted June 21, 2005 Author Report Posted June 21, 2005 The new best thing/format!!! LMAO DualDisc, the hybrid CD/DVD disc launched by BMG, EMI, Sony Music, Universal and Warner Music Group. This particular title will not contain video, but high resolution 24/96 quality audio on the flip side. I'm not really sure what hardware you need to take full advantage of the hi-rez side. Quote
