Didn't Wynton Marsalis make a cylinder recording at the Edison Museum (?) a few years back? I seem to remember it being dropped onto one of his yearly-dozens of CDs. I didn't understand the purpose of that, either.

I'd love to hear that recording. When will it be out on CD?

It's out now as a DualDisc. I doubt it will ever be issued as a plain CD.

If anyone knows where I can hear sample clips, LMK.

I must be out of touch--what's a "DualDisc"?

:) The new best thing/format!!! LMAO

DualDisc, the hybrid CD/DVD disc launched by BMG, EMI, Sony Music, Universal and Warner Music Group.

This particular title will not contain video, but high resolution 24/96 quality audio on the flip side. I'm not really sure what hardware you need to take full advantage of the hi-rez side.
