Guy Berger Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 I usually don't read this subforum, so maybe someone's brought it up already, but... On some of the older threads, the older posts are all screwed up -- the text is gone, the formatting is screwed up, sometimes the text even appears in the wrong post. I assume this kind of thing is inevitable when you're dealing with a huge database? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 I think most of the errors are probably from moving the database so many times. The interesting thing is that the posts are there. I was able to fix everything by just "editing" the posts and not changing anything, just going into the editing screen and submitting the "changed" post. So all the information is there. Something is just getting in the way of displaying the post... some extra character or missing character or some small error in the database. Probably what would help is to run some tools on the database to scan for any anomalies and fix them. Maybe I can do that tonight. Quote
