Matthew Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Reasons why that's not true" 1. Mitch 2. Kobe 3. Lamar 4. No cap space. 5. No talent Just don't see it for 2005-2006. Quote
Guy Berger Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 just a reminder, in case anyone forgot ← Lakers won 3 championships in 2000-2005; Spurs have won 2. I'm guessing the Spurs will win at least 1 more through 2009 (Duncan/Ginobili/Parker all in long-term contracts and will be 33/31/27 years old in June of that year). I have a hard time seeing the Lakers contending for another title any time soon though a miracle big-man signing could turn things around. Guy Quote
BruceW Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 Slight correction, Lakers won championships 2000 to 2003, forget 2004 and 2005. They did not win "between" 2000 and 2005. It will be "between" when they win another one. However, you are right that Lakers won 3 so far in the 2000's. No other team has done that yet. BUT THEN AGAIN, Lakers are "through" for awhile. Quote
