Japanese RVGs

Imagine my surprise when I came across a listing for the JRVG of the Three Sounds Out of this World and realizing that there were two unissued tracks included. Of course, the former GHF had to go and splurge, so for those of you who prefer the TOCJ sound, you can look for my old copy to go up on eBay just as soon as I get the upgrade.

This leads me to my question:

Are there any other Japanese RVGs which contain extra music and have also never been issued domestically (where such alternates and unissued tunes usually get included)?

I discovered that another Sounds session, It Just Got To Be also has two unissued tracks added, and I'm hoping Mr. Tanno will be able to track a copy down for me.

But are there any other JRVGs that have unissued tracks that are at this point only available in Japan?

I'm fairly certain those Three Sounds are the only ones. There are some other JRVGs in the 9501-9600 range that have bonus tracks, but those had all come out previously, either on individual CD reissues or on Mosaics. One exception might be Duke Pearson's "Merry Ole Soul" which has one bonus track. It came out in November 2003, about the same time the Mosaic Select came out, so it's possible that the JRVG by a slight margin was the first release of this track, but it is no longer the only one in any case.

Not sure about JRVGs, but there are Superbit TOCJs (some of which were remastered by RVG) that have a stray extra tune or two. I'm thinking specifically of the Russ Freeman/Dick Twardzik one and I think there were others.

Not so sure on this one. I know they were the first ons to do the full works ie with extras as before with Japanese cds they were usually just the original lp issue format.....

I of course got the tocj I think ...or did I ?? -_- ...cannot remember right now

Never understood why I must admit but I am sure there are plenty of reasons...did you pick up the Blue Trails cd which had no real rarities but a few that were left off the TOCJ issues....it was the one with the Blue Train cover

I do have Blue Trails, or I did. Found it at a Borders, in fact, at regular prices of like $15. At that point, It was the only way to hear the alternate of Blue Train. Pretty sure I sold it though.

Also got the "Other Side of" set, used, for a good price. Probably the most I'v ever spent, because I really wanted the two Sounds tunes that were unissued. At that point, there were a few other tunes that were unissued in the US, but since, between BN and Mosaic, the only things that aren't out are those two Sounds tunes.

pps did you ever have the old ooooolllllld lps from japan that were exact replicas of the old oooooooooooooooo,llllllllllllllllllllllllllld blue notes like he sonny clarks on king maybe....wow ...they were awesome sounded lovely and just felt ( if recrods can be felt? )lovely

The TOCJ-93xx and 95xx series of JRvG's have the bonus tracks we're accustomed to get on the US editions. All others don't have them (Tocj-90xx, 91xx & 92xx).
