I was in middle school in suburban America when this stuff was current. We used to listen to it on no label dubbed cassettes and headphones so our parents didn't know what was going on. Sometimes we would actually mislabel the cassettes to throw them off. This stuff had gone so mainstream that our parents even knew who and what N.W.A. was!
