sidewinder
Some good news for Ra fans from the Beeb. Time to set the recorder: Sun Ra on BBC4

sidewinder
Marshall Allen's comments in the article are interesting. It would seem that even he was totally lost at times with Ra's music. Wonder what he actually put in that 'moon stew'?
Tony Pusey
Any wagers on this turning up on BBC World, or, even more unlikely, Prime? First time in a long while that I regret leaving the old Sod 25 years ago....
sidewinder
My guess is that if it does reasonably well on BBC4 they might possibly repeat it on BBC2 at some god-forsaken hour of the night ( ). Not sure about BBC World. I can just imagine the schedule discussions there - 'shall we put out the 'Robbie Williams Live', Charlotte Church or the Sun Ra for our international clientele?' Tony Pusey
Perhaps Prime will bump Absolutly Come Dancing aside, I mean Le Sun-Y-Ra / Bruce Forsyth? No contest!
Tony Pusey
Actually, I guess that the Swedish public service TV might pick it up, No Direction Home has already been on and is being repeated tonight, pretty damn quick.
