vajerzy Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I attended the games in Greensboro, NC Thurs/Sat. Best games: UNC Wilmington- Geo. Washington and Wichita St.- Tennesee Best band: Southern University- they had plenty of horns and plenty of rhythm Best cheerleaders: Geo. Washington Best mascot: Wichita St......their mascot was disturbing- like a frankenstein monster or a stubbed out cigarette. LOTs of Duke fans......I don't like Duke but they looked great dismantling GW on Sat......I was most impressed with Wichita St.- they play great fundamental basketball and they have a good draw in George Mason. Greensboro Coliseum is a great venue to see games. Missouri Valley Conference has 2 teams left, Colonial has one....where is Big 10? ACC? I had so much fun I hope to attend first/second round games in 2007 (Winston-Salem, NC) and 2008 (Raleigh, NC) Quote

connoisseur series500 Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 (edited) kinda like LSU vs Florida in the finals can Shaq come back to Love Shaq University? Those are my two picks as well. I don't even follow NCAAs very closely, but this appears the likely matchup. Big Baby is da man! (almost as good as Darko, lol) Edited April 1, 2006 by connoisseur series500 Quote
BruceW Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Looks like UCLA ran Big Baby until he ran out of gas!!!!! :bwallace2: Quote

Noj Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I knew SS had given the Bruins the kiss of death. I tried to pretend I didn't see it. Quote
Free For All Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Wow, the last 3 games of the tourney sucked! There were so many close and exciting ones in the early rounds. Go figure. One Whining Moment. SS, what can I say.........you have much more success at making good choices in music than sports......... Quote
Edward Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I knew SS had given the Bruins the kiss of death. I tried to pretend I didn't see it. Yeah, I thought the same thing. At least the Bruins will have Josh Shipp back next season (as well as everyone else of import except Bozeman and Hollins). Quote

I didn't even bother to watch the entire games. I'm counting the days till the NFL draft. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Posted April 4, 2006 another shitty pick WTF happened to UCLA'S "D"? Quote
Noj Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 The Gators had more offensive weapons than the Bruins, played the same swarming defense as the Bruins, and were better on the boards. They won most of their games in the tourney by a considerable margin. I thought the Bruins would put up a better fight, but that Brewer kid shut down Afflalo and no one but Farmar showed up to play.
