Maurice Rocco Plays Piano And Dances

Original caption: 05/10/1946-New York: "Zanzibar" inaugurates a new era in night clubs. Right in the heart of Broadway, with its theaters, movie houses, and big name hotels the Cafe Zanzibar draws a large portion of New York's night club trade. One of the highlights of the Zanzibar entertainment is the versatile Maurice Rocco, who is seen here during the show as he bangs out a rousing "Boogie Samba" on the piano, and dances at the same time.

i remember hearing him on one of the "jubilee" shows from the mid 40´s. boogie-woogie piano and clowning around in the manner of harry "the hipster" gibbson or cecil gant.
