JohnS
I used to have 'Cosmic Vortex' - I may still have a cassette copy. He's on one of the Freddie Hubbard CTI's too.
Guest akanalog
i don't think he is on the hubbard. they just play his composition, uh, mr. clean? i think. there is a groove holmes album where they play an irvine composition too. the blue note one. http://www.soulstrut.com/reviews/search/se...y=weldon+irvine i find this guy's reviews funny. he reviews a ton of records, lookign for samples and funky stuff and whenever things are too jazzy he says the music is "light bop" and dislikes it. here are his thoughts on his weldon irvine records. he also seems to spend a ton of money on LPs and gets ripped off often. Noj
They also play an Irvine composition on Stanley T's "Cherry," also on CTI.

felser
He was his own man. I first heard him on his Strata-East album, didn't really hear 'Spirit Man' and the stuff in that vein for a few more decades. 'Spirit Man' gives you one side of him, 'In Harmony' (the Strata-East album) gives you another side of him. They're both gonna cost you more than you want to pay, so start on youtube.
