Kreilly Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) I ordered this direct from Rogue Art's page last week, it arrived today. It's entitled "No Side Effects". Disc one is "No Side Effects" disc two is "Frames". It was recorded between December 23rd 2005 and February 18th 2006. Harrison Bankhead: bass. cello; Vincent Davis: drums, percussion. Two 60+ minute discs of great stuff! Edited July 4, 2006 by Kreilly Quote

sal Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 REALLY, REALLY want this disc, but 24 Euros plus shipping? Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Isn't it a double? Order the quartet date at the same time. Quote
jlhoots Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 REALLY, REALLY want this disc, but 24 Euros plus shipping? Lots of Euros. I wonder if Cadence will eventually get it. That's where I got the previous Mitchell on RogueArt. Disclaimer: I see they no longer have that earlier one listed in their data base. Quote
sal Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Isn't it a double? Order the quartet date at the same time. Ouch....that's $52 for the three CD's! Guess that's not terrible since it is Roscoe Mithell after all. Not many other sax players I'd rather hear. I may just go ahead and spring for just the trio disc. The quintet disc has Corey Wilkes on it!! Quote
sal Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 OK, just sprung for the Trio cd. Will post thoughts once I get it. For anyone interested in ordering from Rogue Art and can't read French, Michel from Rogue Art sent me the following translation from the order screen (which is not yet availiable in English): To help you to complete your order by credit card, Please find here below the translation of the page "your information", from top to bottom: - first name (prénom in French) - last name (nom in French) - address (adresse in french) - zip code (code postal in French) - Town (ville in french) - Country (pays in French) - email address (mail in French) - mode of payment (paiement in French): you have to select the 1st option that is "paiement par CB", that means "payemnt by credit card". After, you have to accept the general conditions of sale in the bottom of the page (click just ahed of the sentence "I accept...) and after to click on button "Accepter ma commande", that means "accept my order". Another page will appear where you have to confirm your order: you have to click on the button "paiement par carte bancaire" that means "payment by credit card". You will be then transfered to the bank protected server where the information requered are also in French. First you have to select your type of card by clicking either on CB, either on MasterCard or on Visa. After, you will have three information to enter, from top to bottom: - credit card number (numero de carte de crédit in French) - expiration date, month/year (date d'expiration, mois/année in French) - the three digit on the back of your card (3 derniers chiffres imprimés au dos (cryptogramm visuel) in French). and to click on the button "Valider" that means "validate". It is finished and, if everything is OK, we will receive a email from the bank that inform us we get an order. As soon as we get this email, we will send you the CD. Quote

sal Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Cadence has the Rogue Art CDs now including this new 2 CD Mitchell. That's good to know! Buying from Rouge Art is expensive, although I have to say this Roscoe CD was worth the 24 Euros. You should get this one. Quote
