has anyone ever seen this lp for reals. what about cd reissue? is this just a discographicial joke or does this lp really exist

It certainly does exist, and...Hank plays on it! I think it is reissued on CD (Japanese) en vinyl (180 grs, don't know which company).

I paid about $50 for a copy a year or two ago (original vinyl) and there's nothing particularly special whatsoever about her voice or the performance of the Messengers (who are only on the latter half of the tunes, and Horace, Hank and Watkins are replaced by Kenny Drew, Ira Sullivan and Wilbur Ware on two of those tunes).

Unless you enjoy utterly bland chick singers there is no reason to hunt this down.

I got this one on CD from da bastids awhile back. I would agree with Dan's assessment. It's pleasant enough but there's really nothing special going on here. Only thing I ever wondered is if Ms. Reys sings phonetically. For me, that's the only thing mysterious about this one.
