Dmitry Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 My snooze machine finally bit the dust, so now I'm in the market for a new clock-radio. I was thinking of getting this one. Anyone has one of these gizmos that your iPod plugs into? Is this thing any good? Quote
Dmitry Posted August 7, 2006 Author Report Posted August 7, 2006 What about this little guy? iSongBook from Tivoli This one is from the makers of the famous in audiophile circles Tivoli Model 1 radio. Quote
DukeCity Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I have the iHome pictured above, and I like it. Sounds pretty good for a clock-radio; not as full as something like a Bose WaveRadio, but at about 1/4 of the price, I'm OK with that. It's nice to wake up to a tune of my choosing, rather than an electronic beep or some random radio idiocy. Quote
GA Russell Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 I've been thinking of getting something along these lines for my travels. May I assume they don't weigh much? Quote
jazzbo Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) Hey, I've had these in Houston since May. . . . Bose Companion 2 powered speakers. These are good for traveling tunes. Doesn't weigh too muchl Doesn't have an alarm clock function so if you need that. . . the iHome is okay I think, heard it in the Apple Store, but its no Companion 2 soundwise. I really like the sound of these things with my iBook and iPod. Really! Edited August 8, 2006 by jazzbo Quote
