Various -- Flexi Sex -- Original Hardcore Flexi-Discs From 70s & 80s British Porn Mags . . . CD . . . $15.99

Trunk (UK), Late 70s/Early 80s Condition: New Copy

An insane idea for a record -- but a great one! The compilation features rare recordings originally issued on flexi-discs that came packaged with Brit hardcore magazines in the late 70s and early 80s -- essentially the precursor to phone sex! Most of these bits feature a sexy female voice talking very explicitly about sex -- often backed up with a bit of music, and coming across in a trashy audio equivalent of porn! Not the kind of thing you'll put on every day, but pretty cool nonetheless -- and with tracks that include "I'm Juicy Lucy", "Come With Me", "Irish Anabel", "Rosie & Nobby", "Sonia's Sex Diary", and "Folky Fenella From Dorset". (NOTE: This is essentially audio porn -- so you must be over 18 to purchase!)

Am I the only one amused by the irony of "flexi-disc porn" being restored to a, uh..."stiffer" format?

Nope.

You know what? Seems to me that I had one of those flexi-disc things - came in a Hustler magazine. Pretty lame, but before I tossed it, Mom stumbled across it.

Yes.

Am I the only one amused by the irony of this reply coming from a poster named Head Man?

Private Eye - a satirical British magazine that's been around since about 1962, and now concentrates on exposing corruption - used to issue Christmas and other occasional records on those flexi discs, featuring Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, William Rushton (then editor), John Cleese and a swathe of British comedians. I had one or two - "Dear Sir, is this a record" and a rather rude Christmas thing. I wish they'd bring those back on CD.

A few were on a catchall British comedy compilation issued by Rhino about a decade ago called "Dead Parrot Society". Private Eye content included Dudley Moore singing "LS Bumblebee" (in 1966!), as well as sketches parodying John and Yoko.
