John Tapscott Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 A friend forwarded this to me. Wish I had a hip dentist like Dr. Silver. I'm facing an hour in the chair on Wednesday and the only thing my dentist plays is a "Golden Oldies" station. http://www.jazzdentist.com/index.htm Quote
7/4 Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Sounds hip, but even though I'm looking for a new dentist, I live in NJ. Too bad he doesn't have an office out here. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 C'mon guys! The only hip dentist is. . . Dmitry! Quote

I think I'd travel a distance to see this guy. There are likely a few other things you could do in NYC on the trip. Quote

I don't live that far from NYC, I could always combine it with a business trip, go see a customer, have it turn into a Seinfield episode, loose customer. Or maybe just stop at DMG and go home? Quote
RDK Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Heh, if I ever needed a shrink I'd try to book a consult with Denny Zeitlin... Quote

jazztrain Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Here's a dentist (Ron Odrich) who can also play: http://www.parkaveperio.com/staff/odrich.htm Quote
marcello Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Here's a dentist (Ron Odrich) who can also play: http://www.parkaveperio.com/staff/odrich.htm I saw Dr. Ron a few weeks ago when he played with Eddie Daniels in a clarinet grouping of Daniels, Ken Peplowski and Paquito Rivera. I belive that Dr. Silver is also Joe Locke's dentist. Quote
ghost of miles Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 C'mon guys! The only hip dentist is. . . Dmitry! Yes! I love Dmitry's stories about the effect of various records/artists upon his patients (particularly the Ella story). Quote
7/4 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Dr. Benway always plays Ornette when I visit him. Don't know what that's all about. Quote
