alankin Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 (edited) In October, Ron S. dragged me out of my cave and I made it out to Organissimo's 10/10 show at NXNW in Philadelphia. They played a great set. I took a few photos. (You can find a couple other photos here.) Edited December 17, 2006 by alankin Quote

Joe G Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 (You can find a couple other photos here.) Man do I look evil in that shot! Do I usually look that scary when I play? Actually, as I recall, we were all kinda pissed off at that gig. There was a row of subwoofers placed underneath the stage, which the soundman had cracked to the max. All I could hear was bass. LOUD bass. So I think our playing stance was one of defiance: Allright mr. soundman, you can make it miserable up here, but we're still going to lay the shit down!!! So no Randy, usually you look much goofier. Quote
alankin Posted December 18, 2006 Author Report Posted December 18, 2006 There was also some strange purple and red lighting on Randy, which made him look rather otherworldly in my color shots. Maybe I'll post one later... Quote

I remember that gig--and especially the second set--as being pretty amazing. You guys just let it all hang out. That "defiance" thing gave your playing a special edge. Actually, each of the three gigs/venues in Philly had its own unique character, and each was excellent in its own unique way. It'll be interesting to see what the rarefied atmosphere of the Art Museum does to you. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 Alan, is it possible to get a high-res version of that top shot? Thanks! Quote
