mr jazz Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 know it's last minute but I'm thinking about checking this out. Keys is an excellent saxophonist. see the website for more info http://www.takomastation.com/directions.html Quote
Patrick Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Could someone clue them in about the "Art Blakely" crabcake platter? Did you go? Looks like Keys has a regular Wednesday evening gig, at least through May. Quote
mr jazz Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 something came up and couldn't make it. I may try to go this Wednesday. Quote
Son-of-a-Weizen Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Instead of the 'Donald Burger,' I like the sound of 'Billie Holiday Burger' --- a local Bawlmer girl she was, right? Quote
bertrand Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 Please do keep us posted, I'd be tempted to go sometimes. Do we know who's with him? He can get a little smooth for my taste, but when he plays straight ahead, he's a killer. Years ago, he did a retrospective of Wayne Shorter's Blue Note years at the Smithsonian. This gig is one of the things that got me curious about looking up copyrights at LC. Bertrand. Quote
