Guy Berger Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 Despite being a huge fan as a kid, I'm not planning on seeing the Transformers movie. That said, a premiere with a real live dinobot would change my mind. :rsmile: Guy Quote
RDK Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Best trailer of all the summer flicks imo, but the movie itself is craptacular. Some of the action sequences are terrific, but when the action stops... yawn. Quote
relyles Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I saw it and found it entertaining as apparently did most of the crowded theater that to my surprise started clapping at the end of the movie. Quote
sal Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 As a child of the 80's and a diehard Transformers fan, I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. I could have easily cut a few characters out of the mix, and shed about 20 minutes from the film, but overall I was satisfied and entertained. The human element was weak at times, but whenever the Transformers were on the screen, it was magic. Quote

During this period I became a Transformers fan. We moved back to Israel in the summer of '86. I was extremely pumped when, shortly thereafter, Israeli TV started airing the show. Better yet, it was translated with subtitles rather than overdubbing. Guy Quote

It was a great choice by the movie producers and really provided a nice tangible link to the original cartoon. Quote
