Son-of-a-Weizen Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 I've seen the "Cathexis" and "Carnival" 2-fer set put out by Collectables but would like to know if these two titles were ever issued separately in Japan. Anyone know? thanks. Quote
J.A.W. Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 (edited) As far as I know the only Denny Zeitlin album released in Japan is As Long as There's Music - Venus TKCV-35039 (release date: May 21, 1998) / Venus TKCV-35052 (24-bit remastered gold disc; release date: September 23, 1998) / Venus TKCV-35515 (release date: July 22, 2002). jlhoots Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 As Long As There's Music had a US issue on 32 Jazz. Don't know if it's still easily found or not. Quote
Guest youmustbe Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Denny had great live recordings of his last trio, Buster Williams and Matt Wilson. Said he was going to release them, but.... There's a great bonus track by Denny on the Japanese release of "As Long As You're Living Yours The Music Of Keith Jarrett" on BMG. He performs 'Dancing" the vamp imrov from Keith's "Changless" record. Denny was and still is a bitch! Can play Coltrane like no other pianist alive! A loss for Jazz that he is not and was not on the scene more. Quote
