I am currently playing my copy of this CD. Hadn't heard it in a while and wanted to be sure to listen again before commenting on the audio quality. Am pleased to report that the sound is very good.

I have heard some Getz material recorded in jazz clubs from the 1950s that had poor sound quality.

It is unlikely that anyone will be disappointed with the audio quality on either of the two Carnegie Hall concerts represented on this CD. If you like these musicians, don't hesitate to get a copy of this one.

Excellent, thank you! :) Guess I'll have to get this one soon then.

What label (s) were these concerts originally on if any?

All the information I have is listed above.

I got the CD today. The 1952 recording sounds decent even though

the drums are mostly reduced to white noise. There's some distortion

that's evident mostly during Duke Jordan's piano introductions.

The 1949 recording sounds older but better, if that makes any sense...

I'm quite happy with this purchase, it fills two gaps in my collection nicely. :)
