ghost of miles Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Well, Doug Ramsey has beaten me to it. I had thought of doing this myself on the Night Lights site, but in his "Other Places" column (essentially a blogroll), Doug has listed Larry's profile here at Organissimo: Rifftides ("Other Places" is on the righthand side of the page, if you scroll down just a bit from the top) Larry's posts here would indeed make for a great blog--as would Jim Sangrey's. 7/4 Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Cool. I've seen user profile pages before, but I never thought of them as a blog. Quote
ghost of miles Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 What makes it a sort of virtual blog is the ability to retrieve the user's posts, which come up in most-recent-first chronological order. Quote
Larry Kart Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Wow -- that's nice. Doug sent me an e-mail yesterday asking if the guy who posts on Organissimo was me. I said it was, having no idea that he had this in mind. Quote
six string Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Thanks for the link. I've saved it for regular visits (like this place). Quote
ghost of miles Posted March 4, 2008 Author Report Posted March 4, 2008 I've put up a brief tribute to Larry at the Night Lights site and, a la Doug Ramsey, added his Org profile to the Night Lights blogroll. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 If anyone is interested, this software does have the capability to host blogs for the members. I could install that package. Quote

Man, how much more server space would THAT take up? I'd say you're stretched enough already. Wordpress exists for just that purpose, without adding to your strain. Quote
