BillF Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Great photos! I remember hearing a story about a performance by the Buddy Rich Orchestra at Snape Maltings. Clearly unaware of how far and how remote from London the venue was, Buddy is said to have reached stratospheric anger levels during the seemingly interminable journey into deeper and deeper countryside. Christiern Posted October 26, 2009 Author Report Posted October 26, 2009 Wonderful pictures, Bev. Here's what I saw as I looked out my window at 7:24 this morning. Central Park is becoming colorful again. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 (edited) Thanks, Chris. And it's great to see you back on this thread. I love your Central Park shots. You have an amazing view! That last one could be a painting! Edited October 26, 2009 by Bev Stapleton Quote

Christiern Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 There is a bench across the street from my building and I have been looking at it for 46 years, but never before have I seen that burst of red that this year appears behind it. So, I aimed my camera down and snapped: Quote
Chalupa Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Thanks to of the photographers for taking(and sharing!) all of these amazing photos. I really enjoy looking through your eyes. Quote

Christiern Posted November 29, 2009 Author Report Posted November 29, 2009 Interesting mountain, Serioza, or is it a rock? Reminded me of a very strange mountain I came across in 1985 while traveling around a glacier in Iceland. I may have posted this before—if so, please bear with me. Quote

Shrdlu Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 How do you get around the size limit for pics? (I know about thumbnailing, but I want a bigger pic.) Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 How do you get around the size limit for pics? (I know about thumbnailing, but I want a bigger pic.) Weizen and others upload their photos to Photobucket http://photobucket.com/ which is free. Then they link to those photos, just as when you're posting an album sleeve off the web. MG Quote
Shrdlu Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Thanks, MG. Photobucket won't let me sign up. Its software thinks that my email addy is a fake, spam one. They have good taste - I wouldn't let me join either. So, you guys will have to live without my nice pics taken at Banff, Alberta last March. Quote

Google "image hosting services" and I think there are quite a few. I'm sure one or two members here use other services than Photobucket. Alternatively, you can take a recommendation from a fellow board member - Serioza used http://farm3.static.flickr.com for his photos above. And Rockefeller Centre used http://omploader.org for his.
