RDK
Be very careful about judging pic quality in the stores. Most sets aren't set up properly and direct comparisons "off the shelf" are pretty much meaningless. With the exception of "cheapo" brands, most name-brand sets are gonna have exceptional and comparable quality, so I'd recommend looking at useful features, price, and favorable design elements more than what a specific screen looks like in the shop. sidewinder
I agree about teutonic soft porn: an useless oxymoron. The Freesat HD receivers by Humax are in the shops today. I had my hands on one but the store would only sell if you got their satellite dish installation package with it. I can't believe it needs a bespoke sat dish and LNB to operate instead of reussing my old teutonic reception bucket and cranking it 10 degrees East. So didn't bother with them. What white van did you buy that from? Is it really a Sony Bravia or a Sonny Brevia? Sony has never made 41" LCD.

BTW....it is an LCD but only a 40" screen....and a Bravia. So there. Still a nice TV, though.....sheesh.
