Brad Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 This may have been discussed before so my apologies if it's repetitous. My son has an ipod and has all of his songs on our computer. My wife just got one as a present (a Nano) and would like to put her songs on it. Can you have two ipods using the same computer. His is set for automatic uploads and syncing. If possible, I would imagine hers would have to be set for manual. Thanks. Quote
Noj Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 I have two iPods associated with my computer, but I have them both set to manual. I've never used the automatic syncing. However, I don't see why you couldn't have one manual and one automatic, since those settings are in the iPod and not in iTunes. Quote

Brad Posted May 17, 2008 Author Report Posted May 17, 2008 Thanks Noj but let's forget the ipod and concentrate on that image. Hmmm Quote

Sorry, I know, it's not an answer but more questions...I'm having trouble concentrating because of "Scarlett Fever". Quote

Hot Ptah Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 We have three IPod users on our computer, myself, my wife and my daughter. Each of us has a distinct music library on ITunes, very different from the others. We all log on separately onto the same computer. None of this is particularly difficult. If we can do it, anyone can. Collectively our computer knowledge is extremely limited. Quote

I used the other ipod used yesterday and then he used it last night to update so it worked well. I think it probably recognizes just one user account. Quote
