It is a photo found in the archive of fashion and arts photographer Tom Palumbo. He had shot numerous smiling poses of Miles Davis around 1955/56. This picture was in with them . . .

This hasn't been seen before and I have permission from the Palumbo photo archivist to send it out there. Some jazz historians think it is him, the Coltrane Foundation think that it is not. I am mixed, leaning toward a negative.

Why would it be anybody famous in particular? It clearly isn't Coltrane (to me). But it could be anybody else. Is there a reason you think it's someone famous?

I'm not saying it is anybody famous -- just a mystery photo on another board.

...and if it was a musician, then I thought people here might know.
