"Mr.Blue" is a great tune!! One of the few doo-wop ballads that I actually like. It kind of makes me feel older than my present mindset knowing I was born in the doo-wop era. My sister-in-law isn't much help. Once we were talking about ages and she had one of those clarity/realization moments when she looked at me aghast and said, "You were born when Eisenhower was President!!". My sheepish response, "Yeah, well..uh... it was kinda near the end of his last term...". I was born early in Kennedy's term, so don't feel bad. One of the reasons I like "Mr. Blue" so much, I think, is that on one level it functions as a gentle parody of doo-wop ballads. But in a very friendly, good-natured way.
