mikeweil Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I'm looking for a track from a band with a Meters-type groove, Rhodes piano, electric bass and drums, and a horn section inlucding trumpet, trombone and sax, the first theme sounds like some Blue Note number, later they quote Hot House and Manteca. Heard this as a background for some movie but it isn't credited - I will try to make an extract and post it here. But the mix is so distinctive someone here might know this right away ... Quote
mikeweil Posted September 24, 2008 Author Report Posted September 24, 2008 Rapidhare link - zipped mp3 file - will be deleted once it is identified. Thanks! Quote
Chas Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Don't recognize it , but I like it . FWIW , I think the e-piano sounds more like a Wurlitzer than a Rhodes . Whichever it is , I do dig that wah-wah effect ! Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 If it was from a movie and uncredited, it is likely library music. Quote
mikeweil Posted September 25, 2008 Author Report Posted September 25, 2008 Library music? Sounds like a disc from a real band they just used for that film, which was some erotic filler between full movies - I wouldn't have noticed, but I had my video recorder running through, so It caught my attention when I played back the movies. Here's the link to the track from the second filler movie: # 2 Quote
