cbod
I recently found all 18 CDs and the booklet, but no box. I am willing to pay up to $100 for a box in good condition. I would also consider trading any of the following complete sets (unless otherwise noted) for just the box from the Nat King Cole set: Mosaic sets I have to offer Jimmy Smith Max Roach Quincy Jones Larry Young (no booklet) T-Bone Walker (plain black box) Teddy Wilson (missing Disc 1 and booklet) Other box sets Joe Henderson Milestone Years Bill Evans Secret Sessions Herbie Hancock Complete Blue Note Please PM serious offers. Thanks.
sjarrell
Is Mosaic out of boxes for that one?
cbod
Is Mosaic out of boxes for that one? Yes, when I called there yesterday they said they don't have any boxes right now. Not even the generic black ones. Not sure when, or if, they will restock.
jazzbo
This one had two boxes in a slipcase.
cbod
This one had two boxes in a slipcase. Thanks. Good info to know. By slipcase, do you mean one of those clear plastic polybags to put the boxes in? I'm hoping someone out there who is interested in the music only will be willing to spare their empty NKC boxes for some combination of what I'm offering above. jazzbo
No, it's a black slipcase, looking and feeling like the boxes, housing the two individual boxes if I recollect correctly.
Aggie87
As Jazzbo says, it's a black cardboard slipcase/box, and the two individual boxes housing the discs slide out of it. And the cover is different from other Mosaic boxes - at least the ones I have: Edited January 13, 2009 by Aggie87
sidewinder
It's definitely the black slipcase with the two inner boxes. Quite the beast in terms of size ! (at least the vinyl one). cbod - I'm assuming that it was you who won that boxless set that was recently on ebay. Congrats for that and welcome ! sjarrell
Enjoy the music and the book! They're the best parts of the set, really
Shrdlu
I love Nat, but could never face the idea of 18 CDs of the trio. I guess you have to space your listening out.
AmirBagachelles
Try Groove Yard in Oakland. Rick Ballard (owner) had a few dozen Mosaic boxes on display a few years back; hey you never know. If he still has them, please snag me an Armstrong/Decca or just let us know how it goes. Cheers, Dan
