I spelled out TCM since I can't find that old thread that was here for upcoming TCM Films. Hate that 3 letter search rule.

Anyway, lots of Boris Karloff films today. The one on now, a Columbia picture from 1935, The Black Room, just looks amazing! Like it was a B&W film made last year!

Today's films

The Walking Dead, on at 11:15 AM EST is really an interesting film with Karloff in a powerful role.

Tomorrow, along with a few Val Lewton films, they are showing Murder's at the Zoo, which is supposed to be a quite chilling Pre Code Horror film It's on at 10 PM EST. Followed by the best Karloff role, IMO, The Body Snatcher, at 11:15 PM. At least a little more heads up than my usual, check out TCM now!

Tomorrow's schedule.

No TCM here, sadly, but I have the Val Lewton DVD box and may be breaking it out tonight for a get-together with the in-laws. Here's one I know you'll appreciate, Berigan--thanks to my dad's VHS dub from a previous TCM broadcast, we will be viewing that perennial Halloween classic, YOU'LL FIND OUT.^_^

Thanks for the heads up. I've never seen Murders At The Zoo. It doesn't look like they're showing Lewton's I Walked With A Zombie, but if you haven't seen that one, it is genuinely atmospheric and creepy.

I can't help but notice Swamp Thing. Movies that feature Maude-era Adrienne Barbeau, even if they have no artistic value whatsoever, are always worth watching. Yowzah!

Up over and out.

Murders at the Zoo is an interesting horror film with some comic relief. It has Lionel Atwill and the actress who played the Panther Woman in Island of Lost Souls (which by all rights should be on dvd). Its most famous scene is in the beginning, with Atwill sewing a man's mouth shut.
