I do have that LP but I think it may be in pretty rough shape. I bought it at a used place some time ago when I was buying up anything vibes related.

The Bruyninckx disco says it was recorded ca. 1969-70, originally released on Honeydew Records HD6621, and that Rudy Collins was mistakenly listed as the drummer - it really was Walter Perkins.

I saw this basic group live sometime in the mid 60s. Don't remember who the drummer was but otherwise as on this album and with conga player Bob Reid also in the lineup.

Whoa, blast from the past time...

As I recall, this is a pretty good album. It's been a long time since I've heard it. I heard Vera Auer play on a double-bill with David Amram at Marlboro College years ago and she was also a guest on Vermont Public Radio. I think that we did a live broadcast of her performance. Walter Perkins was in her group at the time and it was the only time that I ever had the chance to hear him live. What a master! He did more with less (or was it less with less?) than just about any other drummer. The kit he was playing had a small snare, a small bass drum and a hi-hat. That's it.
