Teasing the Korean Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 As a kid, this commercial represented the mysterious world of adulthood in less than 30 seconds. I'd like to live inside this commercial, minus the outpatient treatment at the Ford Clinic. Quote
porcy62 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) Just turn Burt into a stack of vinyls next to the Marantz and I am with you hundred per cent. Edited November 8, 2009 by porcy62 Quote
JSngry Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Did Bacharach do those? I suspect maybe he did! Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted November 8, 2009 Author Report Posted November 8, 2009 Oh, totally, that tune is pure Bacharach. TV commercial jingles from the 1950s- 1970s are light years beyond anything you would hear now on pop radio. If there is such a thing as pop radio anymore. A sad commentary. We're having fondue for dinner and you can bet that some Burt Bacharach LPs where his is wearing a cable knit sweater on the covers will be on deck. Quote
porcy62 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 True. BTW we should visit museums more often, art would enrich our life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlpP71pj10o...=PL&index=6 Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted November 8, 2009 Author Report Posted November 8, 2009 Bacharach's tune "Nikky" was the opening theme for the ABC Movie of the Week in the late 60s and 70s: Quote
