When they wanted me to rejoin, they were offering 50 downloads per month for $20/month. Most albums are 12 credits, so that's roughly $5 an album. Some albums are 6 credits. The trick is, of course, that it's a subscription service: on some plans, you're free to drop out at any time, but on others, you're locked in for a year. On the other other hand, they offer an introductory bonus: 25 free downloads without an obligation (though you must give them your credit card first). So, a lot to weigh. Neil Young - Decade, Emmylou Harris, Ry Cooder and Roland Kirk boxes are still all just 12. I also picked up - Television (The Complete Elektra Recordings) Marquee Moon-Adventure-Live At The Waldorf set and the 40 plus track Otis Redding - Otis Blue Otis Redding Sings Soul [Collector's Edition] for 12 credits each. The Nonsuch label also hit and the four hour Philip Glass - Music in 12 Parts is going for just 12 credits. The three demo's that open the Aretha set are mind blowing. Those are her Demo's!, would have loved to be in the room when those were heard for the first time over at Atlantic.
