“This Seattle sextet does it all: it grooves, it rocks, it squawks - occasionally, it even talks. Mostly, it sounds like a New Orleans jazz band on crystal meth.”

~ Jazziz Magazine

“The manically fun Reptet make new music by merrily hopping around the history of jazz.”

~ The Stranger

In continued support of their latest 7” vinyl record/digital release Agendacide (Monktail Re-cords), Seattle’s Reptet are adding five west coast shows to their spring touring. As the title track of the record implies, Reptet are determined to take a rocket ship into out space - and all danger aside, it would appear many are gleefully going along for the ride.

more about REPTET

Reptet is a Seattle-based sextet consisting of multi-instrumentalists: Samantha Bosh-nack (trumpets), Nelson Bell (trombone, tuba), Izaak Mills (tenor sax, bass clarinet, flute), Chris Credit (baritone sax, tenor sax, alto sax, clarinet), Tim Carey (double bass, bass guitar), John Ewing (drums); all of whom are members of the internationally acclaimed artist collective, the Monktail Creative Music Concern. Reptet’s previous CD releases, Do This! (Monktail, 2006) and Chicken or Beef? (Monktail, 2008) gained world-wide recognition and led to the group's subsequent national and international tours.

more about AGENDACIDE

Agendacide was released as a digital download and 7” red vinyl record, accompanied by stun-ning cover art by the late great jazz illustrator, Jim Flora, in October 2009. It was produced by Reptet and features a guest appearance by the renowned composer/keyboardist Wayne Horvitz on Hammond organ. Recorded in January of 2009 by Doug Haire (Leslie Dalaba, Wally Shoup) at Jack Straw Productions in Seattle. Overdubs, mixing and mastering were done by Mell Dettmer (Eyvind Kang, Mr. Bungle, Skerik’s Syncopated Taint) at Alpha Studios and Sinis-ter Kitchen, Seattle. The recording and production of Agendacide were made possible, in part by the Jack Straw Artists Support Program.
