Most difficult word in Hangman

I guessed it as soon as I saw that it was a four-letter word.

That makes sense; you'd guess the "a" pretty early, but that would give you no clues as to the rest of the word.

I've always had good luck using the words "lynx" and "phlegm."

It's because nobody can agree what the word means.
