ghost of miles Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Nice, prominent mention for Allen Lowe. Thanks for posting this, Randy. Edited September 22, 2010 by ghost of miles Quote
medjuck Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Thanks for posting this. I was impressed by the authenticity of the music and did recognize Tucker (I remember seeing her on The Ed Sullivan Show) and of course Jolson. Wasn't so sure of all the bands (or even if their chronologically correct.) I didn't guess that the guy in White face is meant to be Cantor because he didn't sing. Wish they would compile a list of their sources. Quote
AllenLowe Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Ann Powers emailed me for help on the id's, but I hadn't seen it, and her deadline didn't permit me to check it out. Edited September 22, 2010 by AllenLowe Quote
Harold_Z Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 There were at least 2 or 3 by the odjb. Clarinet Marmalade, Darktown Strutters Ball for two and the "live " band played "Livery stable Blues." Quote
