William Parker’s ‘Inside Songs of Curtis Mayfield’ (Friday) “I Plan to Stay a Believer” (Aum Fidelity), a recent album by Mr. Parker, the avant-garde bassist, takes as its subject the sinuous, urgent soul music of Curtis Mayfield. As he does on the album, he’ll take a freedom-seeking approach to that music here, with help from the poet Amiri Baraka, the singer Leena Conquest, the saxophonist Sabir Mateen, the pianist Dave Burrell and others. Picked up the album directly from Aum (along with the organ disk). So far, so good. Nice packaging, too.

Plus a note on the cardboard stiffener in the package: "Enjoy"

Would definitely order from them again. Good, quick service.
