Stonewall15
I recently acquired this LP. The first 3 cuts are by Thelonious Monk in 1948- he is accompanied by a trumpet player. The album notes do not say who accompanies Monk. It sounds like it could be Fats or Dizzy. Does anyone know the answer? Additionally, the last track is a Charlie Parker version of "Night In Tunisia" (mis-labeled as "Blue 'n' Boogie"). Does anyone know who played besides Bird? Last question- how rare are these recordings- are they released elsewhere? Is this LP worth anything?

bichos
tatum is there with the titles: "the man i love"; "i got plenty o´ nothin´"; "it ain´t necessarily so"; "tabu"; "someone to watch over me"; "i know that you know"; "sweet lorraine"; "i got a feeling i´m falling"; "ghost of a chance"; "hallelujah". the date is given as 1951. attention: the track "blue ´n´ boogie" is a spliced track of two versions of "night in tunisia": from january 6, 1951, birdland, dizzy gillespie quintet (without bird!) and from february 26, 1949, royal roost, parker all-stars. this must be a boris rose "production". (liner notes by e. s. spoe!) keep boppin´ marcel
Stereojack
this must be a boris rose "production". (liner notes by e. s. spoe!) Definitely a Rose production. "E. S. Spoe" was a guy named Bill Esposito.
brownie
The Tatum stuff is from Cafe Society Downtown, July, 1950. Don't know if it's been issued elsewhere. The Cafe Society broadcast was included in volume 4 of the Art Tatum Live series from Storyville (and later in the Art Tatum 10CD box from Storyville).
