bertrand Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 The Shorter gig at Town Hall was outstanding. Was anyone else there? Bertrand. Quote
Michael Weiss Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Bertrand - Which compositions were played? Any more details you can add to your report? Quote
bertrand Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 They actually were reading from scores for most of the concert (more than the gigs I've seen recently), but nothing I could recognize. Some of it might have been parts of 'Lotus', the piece from Philly. Bertrand. Quote
bertrand Posted February 12, 2011 Report Posted February 12, 2011 The Duke gig was equally killer, but totally different. They did two short encores, the first of which was 'Joy Ryder' and the second a beautiful piece that looked mostly composed but that I did not know. First time I have seen two gigs in a row by this band. Can't wait for the next one! Bertrand. Quote
