jazzkrow
Has anybody heard (have an extra copy of.. ) "Jam Session Vol. 7" on Steeplechase? It came out a few months ago and features both Louis Smith and Billy Mitchell? I was reading about this cd tonite on the Jazz Loft site. Mostly standards- Any opinion? -Jeff
JSngry
Heard it. Pretty nice stuff, and mostly worth having for Mitchell, imo. If you want a "star" rating, 3.75, 4 if the weather is good.
Dan Gould
I've also got it and agree with Jim. Mitchell still had it at the end.

jazzkrow
Brad- Trying to find a used copy if I can-as the Jazz Loft wants near $20 including shipping for a new copy. Anyone out there have a used copy or a lead on one? Thnx!
Dan Gould
Go directly to the distributor of Steeplechase CDs (as well as Timeless) Stateside Distributors-Peter Crawford. His e-mail is stateside@prodigy.net. Steeplechase has a great catalog and between them and Timeless, you ought to easily be able to find three discs to purchase, and then shipping is free (and his list price is less than JazzLoft's $20, by at least a couple of dollars). Brad
In addition to Dan's information, his telephone number i s773-862-8573. BTW, the recent Dexter Gordon cd that they released a couple of months ago is quite nice. And they have a huge listing of Dexter cds.
