To be honest, the title .. plays Cole Porter first got on my nerves ... oh no, not another "plays/sings ....", like the numerous meant for the best ... plays/sings Cole Porter albums ( Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald or Dionne Warwick or ...) with overplayed songs, tributes to this great composer. But when I played myself this new Philip Catherine album I was convinced that this ones was more then just .... a tribute to.
