DMP
Just picked up a new version of this - it appears to be a part of the Monk series Sony (or whoever it was at that point) reissued in the early 2000's - extra tracks, restored solos, mastered by Mark Wilder... But this copy comes from Argentina!! Should we be looking in South America for our jazz reissues? Is there a story here (beyond a large international company with operations everywhere)? alankin
I would assume that this is just an alternate pressing. The Columbia/Legacy edition of Underground (with a total of ten tracks) was released in the U.S. on 8/19/2003.
king ubu
I've bought several Argentinian pressings (Verve, Nonesuch and possibly others) - they all seem to be perfectly fine and as far as I know identical with US or Euro releases. There are "marketplace" vendors from Argentina selling these on sites such as priceminister.com.
Chuck Nessa
I hope they aren't in Spanish.
