brownie Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Chiaroscuro Records is no longer owned by founder Hank O'Neal. Chiaroscuro news.. Hope the new owners will continue the good work! Quote
Dan Gould Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 I had absolutely no idea the company was still active. Interesting to see that they've embraced technology and have the catalog available at I-Tunes and Amazon. There are a few titles I never picked up and now I can sample some songs first. Thanks for posting this, Guy. Quote
Lazaro Vega Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Here's hoping they bring out those solo Earl Hines sessions on CD. http://www.hankoneal.com/index.php?option=com_lyftenbloggie&view=lyftenbloggie&category=bloggies&Itemid=73 Quote
EKE BBB Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Unexpected movement from Hank... at least to me. Hope it's for good! Quote
jazztrain Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Some of the blog entries indicate there's unissued material by the Bobby Hackett group at the Roosevelt Grill and by Dave McKenna, to name just a few. Here's hoping they bring out those solo Earl Hines sessions on CD. http://www.hankoneal.com/index.php?option=com_lyftenbloggie&view=lyftenbloggie&category=bloggies&Itemid=73 Quote
EKE BBB Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Question: Can you still purchase CDs from their website? I've tried to, but just found downloads (iTunes and amazon)! Quote
