Just stumbled across this fine piece of eve3r-so-slightly-left-of-center Spectorish pop, thought I'd share.

Arranged by Al DeLory, recorded at Gold Star w/The Wrecking Crew.

I love stuff like this, for some reason.

I still remember "The 'In' Crowd," listening to it on a 6-transistor radio in my youth. RIP, Mr. Gray.

On WMCA AM-the 'good guys'. Then Ramsey Lewis put it out and it was just as big.

WMCA was the best radio station of all time. The variety of music they played helped shape my musical tastes.

Now they're talk radio. When I was a kid of 9-11 I was an insommniac, plus I could hear my parents argue in the master bedroom. Those guys were lifesavers. The other big hits getting airplay: Bang Bang (Jimmy Castor) ('Do you like cornbread?), Stop in the Name of Love, My Girl. I'll stop there.
