mjzee Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 I still remember "The 'In' Crowd," listening to it on a 6-transistor radio in my youth. RIP, Mr. Gray. Quote
Royal Oak Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Dobie Gray was played regularly in my house when I was growing up, dad was a big fan. Shame. Quote
JSngry Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 Just stumbled across this fine piece of eve3r-so-slightly-left-of-center Spectorish pop, thought I'd share. Arranged by Al DeLory, recorded at Gold Star w/The Wrecking Crew. I love stuff like this, for some reason. Quote

fasstrack Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 Now they're talk radio. When I was a kid of 9-11 I was an insommniac, plus I could hear my parents argue in the master bedroom. Those guys were lifesavers. The other big hits getting airplay: Bang Bang (Jimmy Castor) ('Do you like cornbread?), Stop in the Name of Love, My Girl. I'll stop there. Now they're talk radio.
