THE LONDON TIMES 11 March 1997 'A left-handed piano would allow southpaws to lead with their strength...it's an attractive prospect.' THE NEW YORK TIMES 13 July 1997 'If a left-handed piano can elicit music-making like this, let's have more of them.' EARLY MUSIC NEWS 20 June 2002 Edited February 4, 2012 by alocispepraluger102 Quote
JSngry Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) I could be wrong, but I swear I remember seeing Weather Report w/Zawinul having one keyboard where when he moved up, the notes went down. Not the same as this, but imagine a right-handed player playing "regularly" on the left-handed piano. For that matter, you could probably do the math and have a score "inverted" like this. Probably already been done. Now they just need to make a left-handed theremin. Edited February 4, 2012 by JSngry Quote
alocispepraluger102 Posted February 4, 2012 Author Report Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) a left handed pipe organ could be a hoot. Edited February 4, 2012 by alocispepraluger102 Quote
Ted O'Reilly Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Wait 'til I check my calendar. Oh, yes, April 1. But maybe not -- those Brits all drive left-handed cars already, so... Now, back to our topic of southpaw bassists. Earl May, Jennifer Leitham... Quote

But maybe not -- those Brits all drive left-handed cars already, so... Now, back to our topic of southpaw bassists. Earl May, Jennifer Leitham... Well, as noted, Earl May, Jennifer Leitham and someone else I can't quite recall are lefties on the contrabass. Lots more on electric bass. I've seen a left-handed fiddler (as in country/folk music) but again, can't remember the name. Getting old, I suppose. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Wow, maybe if I had this I would have stopped playing. I know how hard it is to find a decent lefthanded guitar. Quote
