Really good news for pop music would be grooves that don't plod, textures that evolve as the song goes along, and harmonies that surprise, but hey, it's not my world, ya' know? :g

What's a good example, currently, that fits this description? Or, if there is nothing current, how far back do you have to go to find pop music that fits this description?

Just curious.

Monday.

Really good house/broken-beat/"nu-jazz" music.

Georgia Anne Muldrow

Shafiq Hussein

In all cases, "pop" most assuredly does not equate to "popular", but like I said, it ain't my world.

Has anyone heard Adele's speaking voice? It's like night and day. She has a serious cockney accent when speaking.

Is Monday supposed to be Monday Michiru?

What do you recommend from Muldrow and Hussein?

It might now be a bigger seller than Dark Side Of The Moon, but it'll never win a place in my heart unless you can sync this one up with The Wizard Of Oz as well - and here a Prog-Rock Directors Commentary.

Her speaking voice would be more weird, if she played European Speculative Improv :D

Feed The Wombats is funny. Have you seen one in the flesh? They aren't around down my way that much, but if you want Kangaroos and Echidnas, we've got em :D

Yeah.

Don't you know what FTW means?

I must have been having a dyslexic acronym moment, I mistranslated as roughly WTF? :D

I was still laughing at jsngrys post further back in the thread :g

But I didn't know for sure what FTW means?

It has been google translated for me, but could be pejorative if you are a Biker?
