I don't recall the book as I was about five years old when it came out, GA, but I did find the NY Times' obit quite interesting. I especially liked the fact that A) its still in print and B) chapters with too much literary flair were rejected.

Chronologically, the book falls between I Am Curious, Yellow and The Happy Hooker.
