David Ayers Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Do we know anything about a possible Tyner Mosaic yet? Quote
ghost of miles Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I'm going to e-mail the Stamford folk about this and other sets that might be in the pipeline... will post back if I get a response. I've been hoping for a Tyner set for years--he's one artist I hope they give a "full box" treatment to, rather than a Select. Quote
ghost of miles Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I'm also going to post this as a reply to my question elsewhere. Did I miss the news of a Dizzy Reece Blue Note Select? Mosaic's reply to my e-mail: We've gone though a number of twists and turns but the Woody Herman Columbia 1947-49 seems to be coming together and is scheduled for sometime this Spring. We are also working on a Tal Farlow Verve set for May/June. Our next release will be two more Selects; some great live material we leased from Dave Liebman and the second Select will be Dizzy Reece on Blue Note. These are expected at the end of March. McCoy Tyner is a Mosaic set we hope to do in the future but is not scheduled for this year. We are looking at the Keynotes now and hope to be able to do something; whether its's a Mosaic or various Selects but it is still undetermined. Quote
