Mark Stryker Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) The world's tallest dog visited metro Detroit over the weekend. Zeus. 44 inches tall on all fours; 7-foot-4 on hind legs. A big fucking Great Dane. Jazzmoose Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 I've seen animals drinking out of the sink before, but that's impressive. Quote

Quincy Posted October 22, 2012 Report Posted October 22, 2012 I had a Cairn Terrier that was infatuated with a neighbor's normal-sized yet most impressive Great Dane. It was a match that just wasn't meant for her. Quote
JSngry Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 The world's tallest dog... Is Clifford no longer with us? If so, I was not informed. How does this happen? Quote
Mark Stryker Posted October 23, 2012 Author Report Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) The world's tallest dog... Is Clifford no longer with us? If so, I was not informed. How does this happen? Not to worry. Clifford (the Big Red Dog) is still kicking, having made his last appearance between covers apparently in 2011 and continuing to prowl PBS, though cannot say if these are reruns. For some reason, however, the Guiness Book of World Records, refuses to recognize him and awarded the world's tallest title to Zeus. Was there not a Lance Armstrong-like scandal in Clifford's past? Coda: I loved Clifford books as a kid. Coda II: His exact height seems to be in dispute. Wiki tells me he seems to have started at 25 feet but in most instances is about 15 feet -- this after starting life as the runt of the litter. Edited October 23, 2012 by Mark Stryker Quote

robertoart Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) How about Hercules, an English Mastiff who, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the biggest dog ever. Surely that's photoshopped. Otherwise that's the Andre The Giant of dogs. Can dogs have those kinds of diseases humans can get that make them keep growing? Edited October 23, 2012 by freelancer Quote
