Duke Ellington Question

Last night before I went to bed I heard on WBGO the host playing apparently a radio transmission of a concert/session at the Empire Ballroom in 1949. They were apparently playing an extended version of Take the A Train and C-Jam Blues, plus Passsion Flower. Take the A Train had extended solos from Ray Nance, Al Killian and Jimmy Hamilton, and others and each solo was annnounced in advance by an announcer whose last name I think was Smith. Well, I had to go to bed so I never got to hear the end of this.

Does anyone know what cd or cd collection this may be from. Thanks.
