Teasing the Korean Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 I have had the CBS News real-time coverage of the JFK assassination playing in the background this weekend. I see that on Saturday night there was a Philadelphia Orchestra performance, and on Sunday the New York Philharmonic. Does anyone know what was played? I have searched online and cannot find any info. Thanks in advance. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Sometime this week I saw a link somewhere to a performance by an orchestra shortly after Kennedy's death, playing the slow movement from Beethoven's third symphony, iirc. I don't recall which orchestra, or the exact date of the performance. It may have been something I saw on Reddit. FWIW. Edited November 24, 2013 by Rooster_Ties Quote

JSngry Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 The entire broadcast is available in the "classical" blogisphere. Doubt that here's any copyright infringement involved, but just in case, here's a non-woking link that should be reverse-engineerable w/o too much difficulty: http://metrognomemusic.blogspot.cXX/2013/11/nXXember-22-19XX.html Quote
